Meet Our Mixologists and Masters

Pierrick Lhotellier

Originally from Toulouse France, Pierrick has exhaustive experience in the art of fine wines. He has held the position of Chief Executive Officer of the “Nicholas” select wine cellar. In Europe, M. LHotellier has offered personalized wine tasting venues and shared his premium knowledge of wines. Now in Montreal , he has chosen to be the resident wine professor at l’Ecole Des Maitres EDM. We are proud this year to present, the finest in wine tasting and appreciation courses.


Ronnie Laliberté

Ronnie Laliberté has over 30 years of experience as a professional in the hospitality industry. He has worked as a Maître D, manager, barman and has held executive position in establishments such as restaurant “Aux Mouettes”, l’Évasion (Complexe Desjardins), Place Bonaventure. To keep up to pace, he is currently barman at the elegant Elmridge Country Club. We are proud to share with you at l’École des Maîtres his remarkable expertise and flamboyant energy.


Jorge Zylberberg

Jorge Zylberberg has been teaching our (evening and week-end) courses in Montreal since 2010. While working at the Hyatt regency Hotel he received training by the teachers at I.T.H.Q. in Bartending and Table Service. He was employed by the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Montreal as barboy, barman and waiter. He worked as the manager of Restaurant Le Bifteck in Montreal and he also assisted in opening branches in Florida (Clearwater, Tampa) and in Ottawa. Also employed as the Director of the Zen Restaurant at the Omni Hotel in Montreal and the manager responsible for training students of Lasalle College at the Hilton Montreal.


Marco Vallee

Our other Montreal instructor is Marco Vallee, who teaches bartending (day) and Table service courses in Montreal since December 2003. His studies include Hotel Management and Sommelier Courses at I.T.H.Q. (The Institute of Tourism at d’Hotellerie in Quebec. Professionally, his exhaustive bar and table service knowledge with more than 15 years experience. He has worked in clubs in the Caribbean as well as the super-club L’Action in Montreal. As a Mixologist assigned with major corporations he created new cocktail recipes for Corby’s since 2003.


Hélène Belley

Hélène Belley has been teaching the Table service Course and the (day, night) Bartending Course in Québec since March 2005. Her studies include the Canadian Wine Institute in Toronto, Hotel Management Training in Québec (1976) and Commission School in Saguenay.

Hélène Belley has had much experience working as a bartender and draws from her vast personal experiences as she instructs her students in the fine arts of bartending. She has been employed professionally as a bartender at the Napolean Bar, and at the Emprise bar in Chicoutimi from 1987 to 1993. She also worked as a bartender for Audace bar in Jonquiere. Employed as a waitress at the La Piazza Restaurant in Québec from 1994 – 1995. In 1996 she was also employed as bartender for the Prében resto-bar in Québec. From 1996 – 2001 she worked at the More Deli-Bar in Beauport as bartender and waitress.


Louise Servais

Louise Servais is one of the instructors at the Master School of Bartending at 75 Promenade du Portage in Hull, Quebec. Don’t be fooled by her small size, Louise has accumulated over 14 years of experience in both the restaurant and hotel industries. After graduating from bartending school in 1997, Louise trained as a sommelier where she became an expert in food and wine. She continued her studies by training food services and service and customer complaint management. In addition to sharing her knowledge as a teacher, Louise works at “bar à la boîte à chansons” in Gatineau. The Master School of Bartending is proud to add Louise Servais to our dynamic and qualified team.


Kathleen D’Auteuil

After training as a sommelier and a restauranteur, Kathleen put her knowledge at work at the Palais des Congrès, the Sheraton Hotel, and the Hilton hotel. In addition she was a bartender at the Mount Stephen Club and the Elm Ridge Country Club. What separates Kathleen from the rest of the pack is her sparkling eyes and her infectious energy and professionalism. One word to describe Kathleen D’Auteuil? Electric!

 

The instructors for the courses are all very experienced. Each has extensive knowledge in the fields of bartending, mixology, wine tasting and table service that they are pleased to share with you as their students. Ranging from a Chief Executive Officer at a select wine cellar, to an I.T.H.Q. (Institute of Tourism at d’Hotellerie in Quebec) trained bartender with over 15 years of mixology experience, our instructors are second to none.

They were all once bartenders, sommeliers, and restaurant managers and they will provide you with the skills you will need to succeed as a bartender or wine expert in Montreal, Quebec City, or Ottawa.
